Colour

Zebra's Sarasa Clip 3C is the three-colour member of the Sarasa Clip family, and this is the 2026 Snoopy edition. Each barrel carries a different Peanuts scene: Snoopy on a bicycle on the orange-printed clear barrel, Snoopy on a skateboard on the blue, Snoopy with a book on the pink, and Snoopy climbing towards a "GOAL" flag on the mint one. The barrels are translucent, so the refills stay visible as they empty.

How the three colours work

Black, red and blue gel ink share one barrel, each colour on its own slider at the top of the pen. Push one slider down and its tip extends; push the next and the first retracts, so only one tip is out at a time. The clip is a binder-style clip that opens wide enough to grip a notebook cover, a planner page or a thick stack of paper.

0.4mm or 0.5mm

The 3C comes in two tip sizes and this batch carries both: the white and blue barrels use the 0.4mm tip, the light green and pink barrels use the 0.5mm. The 0.4mm line is the one for handwriting that has to stay inside a planner grid or a narrow margin. The 0.5mm lays down more ink and reads darker at arm's length. Both sizes use the same Sarasa gel ink.

Refills, not landfill

Zebra sells a three-colour refill set for the Sarasa Clip 3C, so the barrel keeps working after the first ink runs out: you swap the refill instead of the pen.

Where it fits

Three colours in one pen is why this format survives in student pencil cases. Notes can move between body text, a heading and a correction without putting a pen down. In a journal the 0.4mm is the usual choice; in a planner left open on a desk, the 0.5mm is easier to read across the page. The Snoopy prints make it a fair gift for a Peanuts fan who also writes things down.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What is a Sarasa Clip 3C?

A: It is Zebra's three-colour version of the Sarasa Clip gel pen. Instead of one ink, the barrel holds black, red and blue refills and you switch between them with the sliders on top.

Q: Which ink colours does it write in?

A: Black, red and blue. All three are Sarasa gel ink, so the line dries quickly and does not smudge under a highlighter the way a water-based rollerball can.

Q: Can the Sarasa Clip 3C be refilled?

A: Yes. Zebra sells a three-colour refill set for this model, so the barrel is reusable rather than disposable.

Q: What is the difference between the 0.4mm and 0.5mm versions?

A: The tip size, not the ink. 0.4mm gives a finer line that suits small handwriting and tight planner grids; 0.5mm is broader and darker. The white and blue barrels in this batch are 0.4mm, the light green and pink are 0.5mm.

Q: Is the Snoopy design a limited edition?

A: Yes. It is Zebra's 2026 Sarasa Snoopy design, printed with licensed Peanuts artwork, and it sits alongside four other Snoopy models in the same series.

Q: Is it a good pen for journaling or school?

A: It is built for exactly that: three ink colours, a clip that holds onto a cover, and a refillable body. Journaling usually suits the 0.4mm, while note-taking and planner use tend to favour the 0.5mm.
