Sun-Star Peanuts Snoopy Wiggle Mascot Pen and Mechanical Pencil
A small figure of Snoopy, Charlie Brown, Woodstock or Joe Cool stands on top of the clip, and it nods every time you press the clicker. Sun-Star calls the format a wiggle mascot pen; the point is a working pen with a moving character on it, not a novelty that gives up after a week.
What you get
- One pen or mechanical pencil, 14 × 157.5 mm, 15 g.
- Ballpoint: 0.7 mm black ink; mechanical pencil: 0.5 mm lead.
- Body in PMMA, ABS and PVC with the character figure on the clip.
- Eight options across four characters and two formats.
- Made by Sun-Star in Japan.
The four characters
Snoopy, Charlie Brown, Woodstock and Joe Cool each get a small moulded figure with a spring fitting. The figure moves with the click, so it doubles as a fidget-friendly detail on a desk. Because it sits above the clip, the pen still lies flat in a case.
Which format
Choose the ballpoint for forms, envelopes and quick notes: 0.7 mm black ink writes on most paper without skipping. Choose the mechanical pencil for planner grids, maths and sketches: 0.5 mm lead is fine enough for small boxes and can be erased. Both use the same body and clip design, so a set looks consistent in a pen case.
More Peanuts stationery is in Snoopy and Sun-Star; notebooks and planner refills are in journaling.
Care
Keep the mascot dry - the spring is small and grit is hard to clear. If the click feels stiff, click it a few times empty rather than pulling the figure. Ballpoint refills and 0.5 mm lead are standard sizes.
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: What size lead does the mechanical pencil take?
A: 0.5 mm. It is the common size, so refill leads are easy to find.
Q: What ink is in the ballpoint?
A: 0.7 mm black oil-based ink - slightly bolder than a 0.5 mm line, and reliable on envelopes and forms.
Q: Does the mascot actually move?
A: Yes. The figure is on a small spring fitting and nods when you press the clicker. It is decorative, not mechanical.
Q: Can I refill the ballpoint?
A: Yes. The body takes a standard refill of the same length; open the barrel at the middle joint and swap it.
Q: Are these official Peanuts products?
A: Yes. Sun-Star makes them under licence from Peanuts Worldwide, with official artwork and character figures.
